GPS Coaching

Usually the implementation of systematic GPS begins with training of your key staff.

Coaching is usually a more long-term service that follows up on the training. In a coaching relationship, I will function as the sounding board for your GPS leaders in discussing tolerancing decisions and help evaluate alternative tolerancing approaches for your components.

The purpose of the coaching is to give your GPS leaders an opportunity to present and argue for their tolerancing decisions and provide them with systematic feedback. This helps implementing a consistent tolerancing style throughout your organization.

It can be difficult to go directly from the classroom to the design office and have to serve as the local expert. Having somebody to bounce ideas off of and receiving feedback on suggested tolerancing schemes can help in the transition from student to resident expert.
